Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Grant Money available?
The Federal and many State Governments are required by law to issue grants for many diverse needs. The Influx of grant money into the economy creates jobs, which in turn creates more tax revenue and reduces individual (and corporate) dependency on government subsistence programs.
With our economy in flux, the need to distribute this money and create jobs has become critical.
Many Corporations and Foundations are required to grant a certain amount of their assets annually for a variety of reasons. Foundations are required to give away at least 5% of their total assets each year to maintain their tax-exempt status.
All of these programs don't require credit checks, collateral, security deposits or co-signers, even if you have a bankruptcy or bad credit, you as a taxpayer and U.S. citizen are entitled to this money.
Don't pass up this great opportunity.....Claim your piece of the American Pie! The money is available to you as long as you can show a legitimate need.
How has
the recent slowdown in the U.S. economy and the fears of terrorism
affected access to grants?
The
only result is an increase in grant spending by the Federal Government. As
you noticed on the homepage, for example, there are now many grants
available for those severely impacted by the events of September
11.
How difficult is it to obtain a grant?
The difficulty
of obtaining grants depends on the type of grant and the value of the
grant. There is always a process involved, such as writing a proposal,
letter or filling in an application. Many grants are relatively easy to
obtain.
How long will it take to get a grant?
The length
of time largely depends on what type of grant you are applying for. It can
also depend on the monetary value of the grant. Generally, expect the
process to take between three weeks to two months.
How
will my poor credit history affect my ability to get a grant?
A bad
credit history has no impact at all on your application for grant money.
Grant money is different from a loan. Grant money (from the Government)
